Yesterday I received devastating news that my sweet kitten, Romeo, has been diagnosed with cancer. I am unable to even put into words how I feel. Just utterly devastated. He is not sick right now and his vitals are perfect so it seems misplaced that I should be bawling every second. But I am. He's my little gingerbear. My little southern gentleman. My baby.
He's also my devilishly handsome rooster.
And my twin.
"For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo."
I dreamt a dream tonight.
And so did I.
What was your dream?
That dreamers often lie.
He is meeting with the vet tomorrow for more testing and then we are seeing a specialist next week. I am trying to stay positive. I love my bear.
i feel ya. annabelle has degenerative bone disease. my mom is super bummed to leave for iceland right now cause she keeps getting worse.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that, love. I hope you have a great trip! I am very excited for you.
DeleteI am so so sad reading this :( I am really sorry to hear about sweet Romeo. Hopefully he has quite a bit longer. Sending positive thoughts!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kelli! We recently had x-rays done to make sure the cancer has not spread (it's currently on his face) and so far, so good.
DeleteI know how you feel, not so long ago I lost my chihuahua, she had been with me for about 12 years and a month. I am 20 now so she was there during all my childhood and I felt terrible. She died of a heart attack and I felt like my world was crumbling before me. Give Romeo all your love and kisses, also, I hope he somehow gets better.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel. In 2006 I lost my dog, Daisy, after nearly a decade of her being with us. I'm still devastated by her lost. Romeo is just the utmost sweetest rag doll I've ever met. Thank you so much for your words. I sincerely appreciate them. xo
DeleteI really hope your little friend gets better. I'm so sorry you all have to go through this, Chicken & I are sending all our love & good luck vibes to you!
