Just head towards the Gorge, exit on 87 toward Dufur Bend. It's east of Tygh Valley along Highway 216. It takes about two hours to get there from inner Portland but it is one of the most beautiful scenic drives. You drive past the Gorge, then through these lovely rolling green hills and then you hit Oregon's desert. Just wonderful.
Next up: Crater Lake, tree houses, hot springs, McKensize River Trail, Triangulation Peak and Boca Cave, Ape Caves and more. Do you have any Oregon hideaway, trail or scenic landmark that you would like to share with me? I'm on a mission to boldly go where I have not gone before. ^_^
love the fun shots! of all my native years living in OR i never made it to Crater Lake. still regret it to this day. can't wait for more pictures!
ReplyDeleteDitto! It's kind of ridiculous. I wish you here to adventure there with me. Two natives finally seeing one of Oregon's prettiest features. <3
